Bob Erb was $25 million to the richer after playing the British Columbia lottery in Canada, so he was feeling really good when he sat down for a burger and fries at the Old West Express in the town of Chamberlain in Saskatchewan, Canada.
Erb asked Cliff Luther, the owner, if he could pay for the meal with a check, instead of the usual cash he was wont to do. After Luther agreed, he was then overwhelmed to the point of near helplessness when he saw the amount -- $10,000 for the burger and fries! Erb had learned that Luther’s young daughter had been diagnosed with cancer and wanted to pitch in.
Apparently, Luther was so overcome with emotion that Erb actually had to go into the back and flip his own burger.
